The Thai Trade Office in Mumbai organizes a Business Forum on "Thailand: Gateway to ASEAN" on 23 August 2013 at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. A host of business leaders and government officials from both Thailand and India are set to meet and discuss business opportunities in Thailand and ASEAN.
The forum will feature special addresses by Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee, former Minister of Commerce of Thailand and business expert on ASEAN, and Mr. Pisan Manawapat, Ambassador of Thailand to India, on opportunities for India to use Thailand as gateway to doing business in ASEAN.
Mr. Vijay G. Kalantri, President of the All India Association of Industries (AIAI), will also speak from the Indian perspective on the same subject.
The evening will also be colourized by sumptuous Thai cuisine as well as cultural performances directly imported from Thailand for this event.
This business forum is part of the 10-day Thailand Week which aims to promote business ties between India and Thailand.
Apart from this forum, the Thai Trade Office has also joined hands with the Bombay Store for in-store promotion events showcasing Thai decor and handicraft products in 4 Bombay Store branches.
A sourcing and business matching event is also being held between 22-24 August 2013 at the World Trade Centre, Mumbai, to bring Thai and Indian traders and investors together.
