The Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi will hold Destination Thailand during November 11-13, aiming to attract the Indian travelers to visit Thailand and boost the popularity of the Thai hospitality, foods, products and cultural value among the Indian consumers.
The annual festival will cover 500 square-meter of Plaza Area, located in front of Select CITY WALK in Saket. It is expected to attract several ten thousands of visitors with more than 40 Thai business operators joining the event. A number of Thai products and services will be introduced in a move to persuade the Indians to visit the Land of Smile as well as to promote the popularity of the Thai products among the Indians.
It is undeniable that the 1.1 billion population market is the important opportunity for the Thai business and service sectors. Each year, the number of Indian visitors has substantially increased. The number of Indian tourist arrival to Thailand leaped 25% to 746,214 in 2010 and is expected to jump 25% to 930,000 this year before reaching the one million mark in 2012.
The Destination Thailand has continuously been held over the past several years, thanks to the effort from the Royal Thai Embassy and other government agencies. This event is the opportunity to reach out to Indians as various Thai products and services will be introduced. Also, a number of Thai agencies will stand by to provide the information about Thailand while a number of activities throughout the three-day-event will keep the visitors entertained. Apart from the Thai cuisine cooking class and shows, visitors will have some more fun with the lucky draw.
The success of the event is not only about how Indians would be impressed, but also is about how the relationship between the two countries could be tightened further. See you then.
