Lebua is a growing Thai luxury hospitality group owned by the Bualert family. The Delhi property will be Lebua’s second hotel outside of Thailand. Lebua Delhi, located in the suburb of Dwarka, is only 20 minutes from the airport.
The new hotel will house India’s most expensive restaurant, with menus designed by 3-star Michelin chefs. Sirocco II, Lebua Delhi’s version of the world-famous Sirocco sky bar on top of Bangkok’s State Tower, will follow suit. In the not too distant future, Goa residents and tourists will also enjoy Lebua’s Thai-style hospitality.
Thailand’s Dusit Group has entered into a joint venture with Bird Group of India. Their first property, launching in September this year, will be a boutique 50-room, urban resort style hotel on the outskirt of Delhi. An “urban oasis” with over 1,000 mature trees, the Dusit Devarana is designed by Thailand’s Bunnag Architects.
Closer to the city and Indira Gandhi International Airport, the Dusit D2 in Delhi’s Aerocity is slated to open in 2013. The Dusit franchise also has plans to open in Goa, Jaipur, and Rishikesh.
