NEW DELHI, August 3 - BUSINESS STANDARD – The commercial vehicle (CV) segment has shown growth despite poor sales in the month of July. The rise in CV sales is due to mix of several reasons such as execution of infrastructure-related works done by the government and private parties, new product introduction etc. - BUSINESS STANDARD - Future Group has plans to expand furiously as it believes FDI in retail will be good for the Indian retail business in terms of healthy competition hence it aims to take 18 stores to 50 in the next three years. - BUSINESS STANDARD – Tata Motors has plans to restructure its local dealership network in order to boost up sales of passenger vehicles by setting up 300 outlets for Tata Nano and 100 outlets for its utility vehicles (UVs). - INDIAREPORT – Lebua Hotels & Resorts, a Bangkok-based hospitality firm has announced its entry into the Indian hospitality sector with a property in Dwarka, in South West Delhi. The Leuba Hotel will open its doors to guests on December 1. - FINANCIAL EXPRESS - Commerce and industry minister Anand Sharma said that investors need assurance on the policy predictability and stability and also expect the government to make more progressive changes (in policies and rules) to boost investors’ confidence. - ECONOMIC TIMES - Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines have decided to move out of Terminal 3 (T3) to Terminal 1D, as the cost of refueling planes at T3 is Rs 800-1200 per kilolitre more than what IndiGo and SpiceJet pay at Terminal ID. - HINDUSTAN TIMES - Indian three-wheeler manufacturers finds ample amount of opportunities in African as well as South Asian markets as companies such as Bajaj Auto, Mahindra & Mahindra, Atul Auto are planning to set up assembly plants in both the regions.
