NEW DELHI, August 23 – BUSINESS STANDARD – Ford Motor Co and Toyota Motor Corp have taken decision over collaboration to develop a hybrid system for pickup trucks and sport-utility vehicles. Besides developing hybrid systems for vehicles they also agreed upon to work together on in-car communications systems and Internet-based services. - FINANCIAL EXPRESS - Amway India, which is a well-known player in health and beauty industry, has revealed its plans to buy organic farms in India. The company already possesses organic farms in Brazil and Mexico as well. - FINANCIAL EXPRESS - Tata Steel Thailand is looking out for iron ore mines in Indonesia and Thailand as the blast furnace unit is incurring big losses right from its inception. Thus, rising iron ore and coal prices finally compelled the company to mothball the unit in the end of July - FINANCIAL EXPRESS - Mercedes-Benz India is all set to be the official exclusive automotive sponsor of the 2010 Grand Prix of India. Bharti Airtel has already signed an agreement with Formula One (F1) Group Companies to become title sponsor of the Indian leg of the race series, scheduled on October 30. – ECONOMIC TIMES – Due to rising competition among airlines players, under new aviation policy India is going to allow more foreign carriers to make foray into the Indian market just in order to match up with the rising demand.
