
Invest India, an investment promotion body co-sponsored by Department of Industrial Promotion and Policy of the Government of India, Indian State Governments and FICCI, will organize an Investment Roundtable in Bangkok on Tuesday 19 March 2013 at Hotel Centara Grand at Central World from 08.45 hrs onward. The roundtable was also co-organized by the Board of Investment of Thailand, Indian Embassy in Bangkok and the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi.
Policy makers and executives from the Indian and Thai Governments will join in the beginning of the roundtable. H.E. Dr. Olarn Chaipravat, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Thailand and President of the Thai Trade Representatives, will deliver a keynote address. He will also be joined by the Indian Ambassador to Thailand, the Thai Ambassador to India, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Board of Investment of Thailand.
Mr. Talleen Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Department of Industrial Promotion and Policy (DIPP) of the Government of India will also give keynote address. DIPP holds position as India’s apex agency in implementing mega-projects and national policies to stimulate the economic growth of the country. Two top agendas are likely to be discussed; Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and National Manufacturing Investment Zone (NMIZ).
Before lunch, InvestIndia organizes two parallel sessions focusing on investments in food processing and auto-components.
In food processing session, panelists are representatives from India’s Ministry of Food Processing Industries and Grant Thornton. In auto-components session, panelists are representatives from Automotive Components Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Thailand’s Automotive Institute, and Thai Summit Autoparts Industries Co.Ltd.
Representatives of GMR group will also be present in both sessions to give overview of infrastructure development to cater the investment inflow to India in these two sectors.

Apart from opportunities to hear from policy makers, executives and investment promoters from both sides, Indian and Thai investors and interested businessmen will share their opinions to further improve their exchanges of investment.
